Details For The New Year Challenges – Bible and Trim Healthy Mama

I hope you have all had a great Christmas and you are feeling ready for a bright new year! I love new year, the chance to make changes and have a fresh start is always so inviting and I get drawn in every year! As you may have seen in the last post, I am wanting to do a year long challenge this coming year of turning to the Bible before any other book or source of information. I have been challenged for a while that I read everything BUT the Bible when I need advice on something and that this is getting me further away from what God’s will is and more in line with what the world thinks – and that isn’t what I want. I also want to spend soe time going back to the basics with the Trim Healthy Mama plan and so for this reason I am running three challenges for the new year that I want to invite you to join me on.

Firstly, Bible related. Starting on the first of January, I will be running both the Bible in 90 days and the Bible in a year challenges. The idea behind this is that you can choose which suits you best for your faith stage and your time commitment. In our house, I want to do the Bible in 90 days challenge and my husband wants to do the Bible in a year, so I will be following both. There are many resources available to help us to do these reading plans and I will do two separate posts about them for you to get the information and reading plans from. I will start a Facebook group for each so we can chat, support and encourage each other and discuss what we read. I will link those in the resource posts as well so you can join either group, or both!

Secondly, Trim Healthy Mama Plan. Last year I ran a THM book study as a Facebook group for those who couldn’t get to a study near them. It used the official book study guide that is available for free on the THM website and we spent eight weeks working through the plan books (either the original or the new plan book is fine) and answering all the questions in group. It was fun to do this and doing it on a facebook group meant that time zones were not an issues as we could all chat and add questions and answer when it suited us best. I will list all the questions here on the blog and you can download the guide  to follow along or just use a notebook if you wish. Again, there will be a Facebook group to chat and answer the questions and last time it turned into a really valuable resource. It will be a closed group, so we can chat freely without it showing on your time line and we will welcome all questions, we have been beginners once! I will write a separate blog post on this later too and link to the resources you will need.

I hope you will join me on this journey. I am hoping that focussing more on the Bible nad what God wants to tell us along side taking control of my nutrition and eating habits, will really help me to move towards a life in all its fullness – which is what this blog is all about 🙂
