Think About The Differing Needs Of Your Family
(Trim Healthy Mama For Beginners)
Trim Healthy Mama is not meant to be a weight loss diet, it is a life long way of eating healthily. It is also not just intended for Mamas, despite the name! For the absolute best chance of success and for the healthy of the whole family, the Trim Healthy Mama plan needs to be a life long way of healthy eating for every member of your family – no matter their age or stage of life.
The plan book, especially the original book, is very good at covering following the plan at various life stages including pregnancy, children, breastfeeding and for men, and the plan is suitable for everyone. However, you need to make a few small adjustments to fit the differing needs of other members.
For instance, there are certain times when ‘XO’ or crossover meals are more appropriate. This include pregnancy and for growing children. This doesn’t have to be complicated, it can be as easy as including some on plan ‘E’ bread with an ‘S’ meal or adding butter to the veg on and ‘E’ meal, but these things are much easier when you plan ahead.
Today, sit down with the book and look for the sections relevant to your family and their needs. You don’t need to worry about actual meals for now, we’re going to be doing that very soon with our meal planning notes. All you want to look at for now is who is going to have differing needs and simple, easy ways you can meet them for the best chance of success.
It may also be helpful to look at joining any relevant Facebook groups. Do a search on Facebook for allergy Mamas, no special ingredient mamas, pregnant and nursing mamas and other subjects and you will find groups that are full of advice, recipes and excellent admin 😉
