Welcome to day one of the 30 days of tips to get on plan with Trim Healthy Mama. Some of the tips are motivational, some practical, some food based and others are just to inspire you. Follow the tips every day, do the little bit of homework and we should be able to work together to get you fully on plan by the end of the 30 days with the tools you need to succeed. Day One – Tip One –
Write Yourself A Letter Explaining Why You’re Starting The Trim Healthy Mama Plan
(THM For Beginners)
Yes, I know it sounds cliche and yes, I know you will probably ignore this tip and wonder what you are letting yourself in for over these thirty days – but you will miss out if you do ignore it.
Have you ever watched ‘The Biggest Loser’ and seen the episode where they show the contestants the videos they made when they started their journey? They usually wait until they are almost at the end of their weight loss journey and then they show them the videos they made on the first day. The videos usually consist of them telling themselves why they need to lose weight, why they need to get healthy, what they are missing out on and why they want to make the change. After the videos, the previously exhausted contestants suddenly have a new zest for life and are raring to go again. Seeing how far they have come and why they wanted to make a change in the first place refocuses them at the time when they are starting to struggle and then they get going again.
The put it somewhere private and safe. We will come back to it later, but for now just get it down on paper and share your heart with the person that matters most right now – yourself.
It may seem a bit cheesy, but can guarantee that there is a day coming on your Trim Healthy Mama journey when reading back through what you wrote will be the motivation you need to keep going and to succeed with your goals and dreams.
